We've had a run of really bad movies so we're taking a much needed break and watching something of substance. Mystery Men is a superhero movie that parodies the feel of the Tim Burton and Joel Schumacher Batman movies and has a look that can only be called "Kinka Usher-esque". We get POV shots aplenty in this as the camera is in the fridge, in your face, in a bag, up your nose, in your butt, or wherever they felt like putting it that second. Starring SNL alums Ben Stiller and Janeane Garofalo as well as two guys who auditioned but didn't make the cast, Paul Reubens and Kel Mitchell, as well as Geoffrey Rush, Greg Kinnear, William H. Macy, Wes Studi, Eddie Izzard, Pras and Hank Azaria. It's a decent flick with some slight problems. Enjoy!

180: "Taco Hamburger 12" - Epic Movie (2007)
We've watched some really bad movies for this podcast. We think we've found the worst. You like poop, vomit and farts? Well, I give you Epic Movie. Do you like Fred Willard, Crispin Glover, Jennifer Coolidge, Kal Penn, Kevin Hart, Kevin MacDonald or the British guy from Great News? Well, you won't after you watch this movie. Allegedly featuring SNL alum Taran Killam, although we did not see him in the movie. Who we did see was Darrell Hammond ripping off an SNL bit from Andy Samberg. Darrell Hammond, you should be ashamed of yourself. We talk about who is to blame for this atrocity, if anyone is blameless, why there should be more boobs in things (it's for education) and unveil two new characters ready for SNL, Officer Johnson and Dr. Bruce Dicks-in-ass. Enjoy!

179: "Dan Aykroyd's Big Fat Ass In Short Shorts" - Doctor Detroit (1983)
Pimpin' sure ain't easy, especially when you're Dan Aykroyd and you think pimps have metal hands and talk like Carol Channing. Enough about Dan though, we're talking Peter Aykroyd this week. A cast member for one season who appears in Doctor Detroit for one scene. Does Dan Aykroyd have multiple personalities, Do you believe Howard Hesseman as a pimp? What's up with sword fights? All this, plus we pitch the Dan Aykroyd Cinematic Universe. Enjoy!

178: "Yogurt Gives Me The Whoopsies" - Grand Daddy Day Care (2019)
In 2019, America's favorite trilogy came to a close. You completely forgot about Daddy Day Care, you never saw Daddy Day Camp but heard it was terrible, now the saga comes full circle with Grand Daddy Day Care. Starring Danny Trejo as an ex-con turned lawyer with dementia who has to move in with his daughter and son-in-law. When his old friends come over, his son-in-law gets an idea. Run an illegal nursing home. What could have been a fun Rapping Granny style movie is actually sad, featuring a bunch of older actors who don't seem to have the comic timing they used to complaining about how often they have to pee and how they need help off the toilet. We watched this because it features an exceptionally sad performance from SNL alum Garret Morris. Enjoy!

177: "F U, Garry Marshall" - Dear God (1996)
Oh boy, we found another Garry Marshall classic. Dear God is a mess of a film where nothing makes sense. Greg Kinnear is the sweetest conman you'll ever meet who gets sentenced by a judge to get a 9-5 job. You know, that common sentence criminals get. He finds work in the dead letter office of the USPS and ends up answering undelivered letters to God. This movie does not know how the post office works as Greg gets in trouble for opening people's mail, even though that is what the dead letter office does. It also establishes that all of this mail can not be delivered or returned because of the lack of addresses, yet Greg and his buddies seem to find all the God writers fairly easily. It also establishes that people just pray to God through the mail, for things like wanting to ride a pony or a clean house or a dog or a babysitter or, in one case, a suicide note. Who writes a letter to God, puts a stamp on it, takes it to a mailbox but doesn't leave a return address? I guess you're thinking, "Oh God knows where I live" but then that also means you believe that the post office has routes that go to heaven!?!? Sorry, I'm rambling. This movie sucks, listen to us talk about it. Enjoy!

176: 'Dan Aykroyd's Big Fat Alien Ass' - Coneheads (1993)
This week we are finally talking Coneheads from 1993 featuring SNL alum Jan Hooks but also Dan Aykroyd, Jane Curtin, Chris Farley, Laraine Newman, Tom Davis, Tim Meadows, Michael McKean, David Spade, Julia Sweeney, Kevin Nealon, Jon Lovitz, Garrett Morris, Adam Sandler and Peter Aykroyd. The It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World of SNL movies also has cameos from Sinbad, Eddie Griffen, Tom Arnold, Drew Carey, Michael Richards, Dave Thomas, Ellen DeGeneres and Jason Alexander. This is a big old mess of a film that forgets when it's trying to be funny. We talk about the film, the mechanics of alien butts, Lorne Michaels and women, the Coneheads media onslaught, Subway and their failed movie tie-ins and much much more. 175: "Scalpel, Forceps, Frying Pan" - Clean Slate (1994)
This week we're talking Clean Slate, an early starring vehicle for SNL star Dana Carvey. This movie is an interesting mess. It has a charm and easy going tone but the plot completely falls apart if you think about it for 5 seconds. Dana is a private eye with amnesia who wakes up every morning with no memories of who he is. He has a case to solve, a valuable coin to find, a woman to romance. Luckily the amnesia doesn't affect the part of the brain that remembers where poo goes. All this and a fake dog head on this week's episode of Saturday Night Jive. Enjoy!
